PROJECTS

Assistive Listening System for the Home

·         Utilized the Gumstix platform to create an Assistive Listening System for the hard-of-hearing.  Achieved simultaneous FM broadcast of multiple home audio sources (for use with common hearing aid receivers).

·         Constructed a streamlined GUI to enable users to select any broadcast with a smartphone.

·         Contributed to NSF research and 2010 RESNA conference.

 

RF Impedance-Matching Network

·         Used the AWR software suite to design an impedance-matching network for a single-stage amplifier that met all specified design goals. 

·         Designed circuit for two scenarios: lumped and distributed-elements available, and distributed-elements only.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

·         Solid knowledge of Java and MATLAB. Proficient in Verilog and C.

·         Proficient in use of TEMS, LLDM, QXDM, AWR, Cadence, and Xilinx softwares. 

·         Extensive experience with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and other electronics lab equipment.

·         Certified Highly Qualified to teach high school math by the Texas State Board for Educator Certification.
